After we paid for the trees and got everyone all loaded up, it was time to head over to the Country Cafe for hot coco. It's been a tradition in the Patton family since we moved here from Texas about ten years ago, so it's one of those things that makes me feel kind of like a little kid again:) All the younger ones had a great time and I think even the "older" ones really enjoyed it.

The trip
We went in two separate vehicles: my Dad's truck and our 15-passenger van. Dad, Mr. Michael, Greg, Mary, Bryna and Lauren took the truck, while Mrs. Michael, Mom, Grant, Liz, Em, all the younger ones and I took the van. Carpooling with the Michael Fam, made for a very "cozy", but all the more fun ride. Although we heard a lot of "are we there yet?" and "I'm hungry, can I have a snack?" it was altogether a good time:)

Christmas trees
Greetings Dear Ones,
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the day approaching."
Well, we, and the Michael family have our trees! We all had an adventurous, messy, brilliantly fun time hunting for them. Along the way, I captured as many of the joyous, bubbly moments as I could. In the following posts I'd like to share them with all of you.
Enjoy!

Looking for the perfect tree...
Hello Friends,
Well, it's that time again! Time to go get the perfect family tree. We'll be taking off in about 2 hours to go hunt for ours with our close family friends the Michael family--yippee! I've got lots to do (helping to get our team all ready) so I'd better run. I'll let you all know how it goes and hopefully have some pix to share!Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
